Questions & Answers

What’s gone wrong?

Nothing, you have simply decided that you wish to change the way your body’s timing affects your relationship. Women are enjoying all sorts of “procedures” every day. If they don’t like something about themselves they change it, and good luck to them. Their lives are generally improved as a result, yet we feel silly asking questions about something as important as Premature Ejaculation and our sex lives.

90% of patients currently being consulted for premature ejaculation choose to do it by phone- it’s discreet, confidential and just plain convenient. Please note, before calling, that if our doctors are not completely satisfied the treatments used are suitable they will explain the reason and advise of other options available to you.

How long is normal?

No two relationships are the same, so it’s logical that no two couples have identical sex lives, or expectations. When it comes to the length of time we spend making love it differs greatly from couple to couple, some satisfied within minutes whilst others require longer. There is no right or wrong, it’s about having compatible expectations, satisfaction for both partners and a healthy attitude toward sex.

We all know that sex is at the core of a relationship, and a healthy sex life can often be the key to happiness. It’s important to remember, however, if you are in a relationship, to be patient not just with your partner but with yourself.

Do I need to be in a relationship?

As young men we tend in some cases to drift in and out of relationships. This is a crucial time as we seek companionship. Compatibility is what draws people together initially, achieving that in the bedroom is another matter entirely. It isn’t always tea and scones you could say.

In some cases it’s between relationships that we have the best opportunity to address this problem. That’s right, you don’t have to actually have a partner to address the issue of premature ejaculation.

This means that you can work on establishing a pattern you feel confident with, whether that be 2, 5 or 20 minutes. So why wait? Get in touch today and arrange a phone consult

Modern medicines are tailor made and fast acting. But that’s just the start. Our program is designed to help you not only slow things down, but slow them down for good.

Minimum age requirements?

Our doctors take the view that premature ejaculation can occur as a normal circumstance early on in a young man’s sexual life as the body and mind calibrate. As such, we believe it is unnecessary, and in some cases, unethical to prescribe to persons below the age of 21. However, free phone support is provided to men suffering from premature ejaculation as a Viamed Community Service Initiative.

In many cases the problem will resolve itself, but not always. In some cases the consequences can be traumatic, as both partners may have difficulty discussing such an important and sensitive aspect of their relationship without further compounding the physical problem.

The most recent information suggests that the ideal age for treatment is 20- 29 but our doctors have treated men in their 50s successfully.

What is telemedicine?

Through use of telecommunication and information technologies, telemedicine provides clinical health care at a distance. It helps eliminate distance barriers and can improve access to medical services that would often not be consistently available in distant rural communities. It is also used to save lives in critical care and emergency situations.

Viamed Telemedicine is brought to you by Viamed Australia as demand for confidential and readily available medical advice grows in Australia. Premature Ejaculation is an especially private matter, and let’s face it, most men are simply not going to seek treatment. Those who do will appreciate it being kept private and discreet. They are also likely to embark on a better direction sexually, eternally glad they made the phone call instead of delaying the decision again and missing out. So find a private place and have your questions ready. You will be surprised at how simple it can be!

As with all consultations, your Doctor relies on the accuracy and integrity of the information that you provide in order to best serve you, the client.

What is No Contract Premature Ejaculation Treatment?

We believe that using heavy tactics to extract money out of men looking for better sex or premature ejaculation treatment is abhorrent. So we did something about it. In 2012 Viamed Australia introduced no-contract policies, helping men enjoy better sex on a pay-as-you-go arrangement. At least until they are satisfied the problem is solved. You see at Viamed Australia, results speak for themselves, and people are free to come and go, not locked into a debt they don’t need.

We understand your circumstances may change. Our no-contract policy allows you to opt-out at any time. This allows you to make the decision to continue treatment after seeing results.

The future of premature ejaculation treatment?

While not life threatening, premature ejaculation will continue to be an issue. With an estimated 27% of the male population affected by PE, along with a sharp incline in consultations showing a willingness to seek help on the issue, a massive market for PE treatment is emerging, and the major pharmaceutical companies are well prepared.

Over the last few years advances have been made in reducing side effects, with short acting formulas now available. Over the next twenty years it is widely accepted that the current approach to treating premature ejaculation will not change.  Speaking with a doctor experienced in this field is advised.

What to look for when researching PE treatments

Viamed recommends doing some research for yourself. However, always be mindful that the information you are collecting has integrity. It is always best to seek a doctor’s advice. So whether you decide to hold on and try the “wait and see” approach or talk to one of our doctors privately, you at least now realise that there is treatment and it can work for you.

The Prescription
